Located at the northeastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula, Musandam is separated from the rest of Oman by the United Arab Emirates.

During an excursion to Musamdan, we advise you to spend a day on the dhow, traditional Omani boat (count about 200 AED). If you are lucky, or if you are ready to negotiate, ask to be alone on board to enjoy your day.

You can then admire the absolutely sumptuous Omani fjords, the show is grandiose.

You can stop to snorkel. The fish are not very numerous but you can still discover some small species not shy.

Many dolphins also point their fins and it is not uncommon for them to follow the ships.

Finally it will be time for the return, the setting sun will give a special perspective to the fjord, a magic moment and out of time.

  • Although the Omani currency is different from the one of the UAE, the AEDs are accepted
  • If you are renting a car from Dubai, be sure to pay an insurance for Oman if you want to be able to cross the border !
